The role:
Reporting to the Shell Business Manager, you will be responsible for the business growth of Shell Lubricants, Filtration, and other workshop consumable products across the Waikato, Taranaki, Kapiti Coast and Central Districts.

Working in a high trust model, as a self-starter you will have freedom and autonomy around getting on with what’s needed to deliver and support the rapid growth Shell is experiencing in New Zealand. 

After a detailed and progressive onboarding plan, we will work with you to train, guide and support you to be the best that you can be and be seen by your customers and competitors as a leader in the industry. 

Responsibilities include:

• Continual growth of the Shell Lubricant and Filtration business in your region
• Achieving key sales objectives through building multi-level relationships with existing and new customer organizations.
• Developing sales opportunities.
• Using Salesforce, managing a sales pipeline for your territory opportunities
• Provide monthly and quarterly business reporting.
• Gather and communicate information such as forecasting, customer specific requirements and product specs.
• Facilitate day to day sales via local TDX branch and or our local in-house customer support team.
• Overnight travel as required to service the region.

We are ideally looking for:

• Highly motivated and driven Sales professional, confident in your ability to apply your craft.
• You will be passionate and take pride in your presentation, your work and what you represent.
• Have proven progressive sales experience in a competitive industry.
• Ideally have experience in the lubricant industry or similar
• Commercially astute and confident in gathering and understanding data.
• Technically confident when it comes to anything mechanical, not needing to know all the answers but understanding how to ask good questions.
• Have good attention to detail.
• Be a clear communicator both verbal and written.
• Be very comfortable with hunting and developing new businesses.
• Have strong CRM experience and the discipline required to optimise it.
