About the opportunity:

Supported by a locally based and highly engaged Executive Leadership Team and Board, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact in this role.

This role offers a great mix of team leadership, financial accountability, and strategic advisory responsibilities. You will ensure our leaders have the accurate financial insights they need, when they need it, to guide their decision making and to achieve our strategic and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

As our CFO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strength and strategic direction of our business through:

  • Being a trusted, strategic advisor to the CEO and board ensuring clear visibility of material financial and commercial risks, opportunities, and performance drivers.
  • Leading budgeting, forecasting, and reporting with clarity and insight delivering timely, accurate insights that empower confident decision making across the business.
  • Collaborating with the Executive Leadership Team to craft and execute a financial strategy that positions the company for sustainable success.
  • Steering cashflow, liquidity, and capital deployment to strengthen the business and deliver exceptional returns.
  • Playing a lead role with our risk management framework, supporting the Risk and Audit Committee on the board.
  • Inspiring and developing the finance team, fostering a high performance culture that delivers impact across the business.
  • Hands on delivery of process improvement.

We are seeking an authentic, motivated and inspiring leader with a proven track record of strategic and pragmatic practical financial leadership in a commercial environment. A strong collaborator who understands the benefit and value of working alongside an engaged leadership team, you will have the courage to set ambitious goals, and the experience to chart the path to achieve them, guiding both teams and the wider business toward measurable success.  You will also have a keen desire to get under the hood and really understand the numbers.

 

What you will bring:

  • A proven track record as CFO or Financial Controller with 5 + years’ experience in a commercial environment.
  • Commercial acumen with the experience required to influence strategic decisions.
  • A hands-on leader with a can-do attitude, paired with an open, positive, and collaborative mindset.
  • Experience delivering long term financial strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Proven leadership with exceptional communication and negotiation skills, developed through practical experience.
  • Professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, or similar.
  • A problem solver who is not afraid to drill down to find solutions and is confident making decisive decisions.
