We’re now looking for a Territory Manager to grow Yanmar sales across the Canterbury region.

About the role
This is a true hunter role. You’ll be responsible for identifying new opportunities, winning new customers, and growing market share across your territory. You’ll be working with a premium range of construction equipment, including Yanmar machines up to 10 tonne, engaging with partners who value quality, performance, and long-term partnerships.

Your territory stretches from Timaru to Kaikōura, with the role based in Christchurch. You’ll be on the road regularly, owning your patch and driving results.

What you’ll be doing

  • Proactively hunting and converting new sales opportunities
  • Managing and growing key customer relationships
  • Representing a premium, market-leading brand in the construction sector
  • Developing and executing a territory sales plan
  • Working closely with internal teams to deliver an excellent customer experience
  • Consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience in field-based B2B sales, ideally in construction, machinery, or capital equipment
  • A strong hunter mindset – you enjoy prospecting, closing, and getting the deal done
  • Commercially sharp with excellent negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and comfortable working autonomously
  • A professional who takes pride in representing a premium brand
  • A sales professional who is motivated to complete the full job – including using our CRM to ensure all opportunities are recorded.
