We’re looking for a practical, experienced HR Business Partner who enjoys being close to the business, supporting managers day to day, and lifting capability through strong people practices and learning and development.

This is a true generalist HR role with a strong operational focus, combined with the opportunity to design and embed a meaningful learning and development framework across the wider TDX business. You’ll work closely with operational leaders and partner with the General Manager – People & Safety to deliver HR initiatives that add real value.

About the role
The primary purpose of this role is to provide hands-on HR support to operational and divisional managers across all aspects of the employee lifecycle. You’ll be the go-to person for practical advice on employment relations, performance matters, investigations, policy application, and organisational change.

In addition, you’ll play a key role in shaping how learning and development is planned, delivered, and measured across the business — from individual development plans through to leadership and technical capability.

This role reports to the General Manager – People & Safety, and is supported by an HR Co-ordinator.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HR support and advice to managers on performance management, investigations, disciplinary processes, employment relations, documentation, and general people matters
• Oversee all HR administration relating to onboarding, offboarding, and contractual changes
• In partnership with the General Manager, design and implement a learning and development framework aligned to business priorities
• Support the development of individual development plans across the business and design and deliver learning programs in collaboration with internal subject matter experts and external providers

About you

You’ll be a confident, pragmatic HR professional who enjoys working in an operational environment and building trusted relationships with managers.

You’ll bring:

• Proven experience in a generalist HR or HR Business Partner role
• Strong working knowledge of NZ employment legislation
• Experience supporting ER matters, performance processes, and organisational change
• A practical, solutions-focused approach with strong communication skills
• Experience or strong interest in learning and development design and delivery
• Confidence working with HR systems, data, and reporting
