New Zealand contractors, civil operators, landscapers and hire companies now have access to a new generation of compact track loaders, with TDX officially introducing the Yanmar Compact Track Loader (CTL) range to the local market.

Designed to deliver construction-grade durability, impressive lifting performance and operator-focused comfort, the new Yanmar CTL lineup combines Japanese engineering with proven loader technology to tackle the demanding conditions found across New Zealand jobsites.
Available in three key models – the TL65RS-1C, TL75VS-1C and flagship TL100VS – the range has been built to maximise productivity, minimise downtime and provide operators with the confidence to perform in a wide variety of applications, from site preparation and earthmoving to landscaping, material handling and infrastructure projects.
TDX, New Zealand’s authorised distributor for Yanmar Construction Equipment, says the arrival of the CTL range fills an important gap in the market for customers wanting premium compact equipment backed by nationwide support.
According to Richard Papps, national sales manager – Yanmar, TDX, the machines have been designed specifically for productivity and reliability.

“The Yanmar compact track loader range has been developed with a strong focus on durability, operator comfort and ease of maintenance,” says Richard. “These machines are built for demanding construction environments and give New Zealand contractors a highly productive and reliable solution that’s backed by the nationwide support network of TDX.”
The new loaders are built around trusted Yanmar engines and feature heavy-duty undercarriages, automatic two-speed shifting and direct-drive track motors that eliminate the need for planetary gearboxes, reducing maintenance requirements and improving long-term reliability.
For operators spending long days in the cab, comfort and visibility have also been prioritised. The machines feature premium 360-degree visibility, suspension seating, low-effort controls and a spacious cab layout designed to reduce fatigue over extended shifts. The addition of optional ride control, self-levelling and return-to-position functionality helps improve efficiency and precision when handling loads or operating attachments.

The loaders have been engineered to perform in challenging New Zealand conditions where mud, uneven terrain and demanding applications are part of everyday work. Steel-embedded tracks, independent torsion axles and ground clearance contribute to excellent traction and stability across soft or rough ground.
Safety has also been a major focus in the design. The range includes LED work lights, easy cab access, multiple emergency exits and an industry-first roof hatch emergency escape system.
Beyond performance, serviceability is another standout feature. Multiple swing-out service doors, removable belly pans and a quick rear-tilting cab provide exceptional access for maintenance and cleaning. The loaders also feature 500-hour oil change intervals to help reduce servicing costs and maximise uptime.

The machines are supported by SmartAssist telematics and a seven-inch touchscreen display, giving operators and fleet managers real-time machine information and operational visibility.
The introduction of the CTL range further strengthens Yanmar’s compact equipment offering in New Zealand and reflects the brand’s long-standing global reputation for engineering quality and reliability. Yanmar’s compact track loaders combine the company’s renowned Japanese craftsmanship with technology developed through the acquisition of ASV, a pioneer in compact track loader manufacturing.
For customers, the machines are backed by the expertise and infrastructure of TDX, which has built a strong reputation in the New Zealand construction and equipment industry. As the national distributor for Yanmar Construction Equipment for over 15 years, TDX offers customers specialist product knowledge, expert application advice and nationwide support through its network of 18 branches across the country.
Richard says that support network is a key advantage for customers investing in equipment.
“When customers buy from TDX, they’re not just buying a machine – they’re gaining access to experienced sales specialists, factory-trained technicians and comprehensive aftersales support nationwide,” he says. “That support is critical for keeping equipment productive and ensuring customers get maximum return on investment.”

The range begins with the TL65RS-1C, a value-conscious radial-lift machine ideally suited to digging and grading applications. The TL75VS-1C introduces vertical lift geometry for improved lifting and loading performance, while the TL100VS delivers high-capacity performance for demanding production applications and hydraulic-powered attachments.
With a two-year/2,000-hour warranty, strong attachment capability and a design philosophy focused on productivity and uptime, the Yanmar CTL range is positioned to become a serious contender in New Zealand’s compact equipment sector.
