The role:
As the National Sales Manager for our Equipment Division, you will be responsible for driving sales strategies, use of CRMs to their full potential, managing a high-performing team, and delivering outstanding results. This is a high-impact leadership position that requires a blend of strategic thinking, hands-on sales experience and cultivating strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
We are seeking a dynamic, proven, and results-driven Sales Manager with experience in the heavy-diesel industry to lead and inspire our sales team as we continue to expand and enhance our market position. You will also need experience managing teams remotely.
Responsibilities include:
• Training, mentoring, and leadership of approximately eight territory managers
• Nurturing the relationships with our OEMs and other partners
• Driving the sales team against sales disciplines, including CRM maintenance and compliance
• Inspiring team members to provide the highest level of sales acumen, refining a high-performance sales culture
• Ensuring all sales enquiries are managed promptly and efficiently
• Provide support with industry events
• Work closely with customers and stakeholders to support overall product knowledge
• Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems and developing solutions
• Coordinate with the order desk on the preparation of sales forecasts, machine orders and logistics of machine arrivals
• Requirement to travel extensively throughout New Zealand regularly
We are ideally looking for:
• An individual with proven progressive sales experience in heavy-diesel equipment with a competitive, flexible and resilient nature to drive success
• An individual that has experience with Salesforce or equivalent and understands the importance of the role it plays within the business
• An individual with a working knowledge of capital equipment and previous experience in a capital equipment sales role is required. This experience could include construction, agricultural or on-highway transport equipment
• You will be self-driven to achieve results, with strong organisation and time management skills
• Experience in the New Zealand market
• You must be based or willing to relocate to Auckland from a New Zealand location
