The role:
Reporting to the onsite Regional Operations Manager,  the purpose of this role is to provide leadership, management and organisation within the Service Team ensuring a high quality of technical and mechanical support to both internal and external customers.

You will be responsible for approximately 13 staff members made up of Field Service and workshop with support from a Service Adviser and Foreman.

Responsibilities:

• You will mentor, supervise and lead the day-to-day operations of the Auckland Service function
• Manage and motivate the Service Team to ensure the delivery of timely high quality support to customers
• Proactive interaction and connection with our valued customers
• All job management (quotes to invoice) and WIP management
• Reporting when required
• Ensure profitability, customer retention and staff retention targets are met
• Manage inventory control on locally stocked spare parts
• Ensure all staff understand the warranty process and that it is followed accordingly
• Ensure safe practices and work environments

We are ideally looking for:

• Someone with a proven ability to lead a team of engaged and high performing technicians
• Sound technical knowledge in construction equipment
• Proven people management experience
• Strong administrative skills
• Strong commercial acumen
• A familiarity with our company products such as Volvo, Yanmar, Allison, Perkins would be a distinct advantage
• Possess a high level of motivation
