Finance Business Partner – Operations

We are looking for a qualified CA with commercial experience to join two other Finance Business Partner’s. Take ownership over the financial management and reporting for our operations areas of the business, including our Service and Parts departments.

The role:
This person will be committed to delivering excellence and value to stakeholders through innovation, partnership, and sound financial management and advice. As such, we are seeking a skilled Finance Business Partner to join our busy finance team.

You will be responsible for producing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for our Service departments (who fix the machines we have sold) and Parts departments (who source the parts required for repairs). These departments are located across 17 branches in NZ.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and results-driven person who enjoys delivering for real work scenarios.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reporting of monthly financials and providing insight against budgets and forecasts to work in progress.
  • Ensure management and financial reporting is accurate and delivered on a timely basis to our Finance team and Service departments
  • Monitoring of parts inventory including stock count activities, providing insights into stocktake variance and ensuring that correct internal audit processes are being adhered to
  • Preparation and providing insights labour productivity and recovery against budget National Service and Regional Managers.
  • Reporting and recommendations for annual KPI data
  • Prepare timely and accurate budgets/forecasts for the Aftersales business including by region and branch, including coordinating market and annual price reviews and implementation.
  • Business case reviews and capex requests as required.
  • Proactively identify, assess and monitor financial risks and issues, ensuring managers are aware and appropriate actions are taken.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, reporting monthly for review with senior managers and relevant stakeholders

We are ideally looking for someone with:

  • A tertiary qualification in accounting
  • CA ANZ qualified
  • Minimum experience 5 years as qualified accountant in a commercial environment
  • Advanced level of spreadsheeting skills
  • Experience with a commercial accounting system
  • Ability to interpret, extract and analyse financial information
  • Able to present financial information to a range of people
  • Highly resilient with proven ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Effective communicator with demonstrated ability to build constructive relationships
  • Enjoys working in a down-to-earth environment
  • Upbeat, can-do, positive attitude
