About the role:
Reporting to our Health & Safety Business Partner this busy 20-25 hrs per week part time role is based out of our head office in Hornby. This role provides administration support for the full suite of safety related activities and tasks required to run a business with warehouse, mechanics, and office-based workers across New Zealand.

Responsibilities include:

• Continuous H&S systems and records maintenance
• Assist the H&S Business Parter with management of all pre-qualification and contractor management requirements
• Keep records and liaise with third parties for injury management
• Maintain our site risk registrars and drive reviews of SOP/JSEA/HSMS
• Assist with external audit criteria and the preparation of documentation certifications such as Sitewise, Impac and Tōtika
• Attend meetings to assist with note taking and actions
• Continuing strong relationships with external providers
• Preparation of all safety-related monthly reports

About you
We are looking for a down to earth, hardworking, friendly team member with strong administration, database management, and records keeping experience. 1-2 years of experience working in H&S systems would be advantageous in addition to a intermediate – advanced level of experience in Word and Excel.

What you’ll bring:

• A proactive, positive approach with a willingness to get things done
• You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as being a highly productive worker and skilled administrator
• Experienced with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Able to work without direct supervision
• Can use initiative, follow instructions accurately, and seek assistance as required
• Can work efficiently to meet deadlines
• Flexible and willing to carry out varied tasks
• Working knowledge of the Health & Safety Act, relevant codes, and regulations would be a bonus
