We’re looking for an experienced, energetic and hands-on Health & Safety Manager to join our business and help lead the next stage of our safety journey.

This is a role for someone who thrives on pace, influence and action — someone who wants to work alongside operational leaders to genuinely improve safety performance across a nationwide business. 

TDX and LDX are , with decision making happening locally by leaders who are engaged, accessible and committed to getting things done.

You’ll report into our Chief Operating Officer, working closely with our operational leaders and an established Health & Safety team of two to continue building leadership capability, lifting accountability and embedding practical, effective safety systems across the business.

What you’ll be doing:

• Supporting and coaching operational leaders to improve safety ownership and performance
• Partnering with branches and teams across the country to drive practical safety outcomes
• Leading continuous improvement across systems, processes and risk management
• Using data, insight and visibility in the field to identify opportunities and influence change
• Contributing to the evolution of our safety culture as we continue our journey toward higher safety maturity
• Providing leadership and support to our Health & Safety Business Partner and wider business leaders

What we’re looking for:

• Strong operational Health & Safety experience in a multi-site environment
• Someone who can build credibility quickly with leaders and frontline teams
• A practical, down-to-earth approach with the ability to influence and challenge constructively
• Energy, resilience and drive — someone who likes momentum and making things happen
• Experience coaching leaders and embedding accountability
• A collaborative style and willingness to be visible, involved and hands-on

This role can be based in either Christchurch or Auckland and will involve a reasonable amount of travel.
