The role:

Join TDX as a Field Service Technician and play a key role supporting customers across the region. You’ll be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing construction equipment, ensuring customers receive reliable and efficient solutions.

This is a hands-on role suited to a skilled technician who enjoys problem-solving, working independently, and delivering excellent customer service. You’ll work alongside a supportive team while representing a market-leading New Zealand-owned business.

Responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on construction equipment in the field and workshop
  • Fault finding mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues across a range of equipment
  • Providing quality customer service and clear communication with customers and the team
  • Completing job documentation, reports, and warranty paperwork accurately

About you:

  • Trade qualified Heavy Diesel Technician - with 3+ year’s experience out of their time
  • Heavy Plant & Equipment qualified preferred but not essential
  • Strong mechanical and hydraulic diagnostic and repair skills
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based environment
  • Great communication skills and a customer-focused approach
  • Reliable, organised, and able to manage a busy workload
  • A proactive attitude with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
