The role:
Reporting to the General Manager – Operations, who has extensive Supply Chain knowledge, you will be the prime contact for purchasing queries and delivering on strategy.

This role has direct reports of approximately 5 including Purchasers and Maser Data specialists. This role would suit a Procurement Manager with strong imports experience, used to overseeing changing unit prices, high volumes of inventory and working with an array of suppliers from all corners of the globe. This role is critical to maintaining our supply chain efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality standards across multiple brands.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead a team around the key responsibilities of inventory lifecycles
  • Build outstanding relationships with Business Managers, Marketing, Regional Ops Managers, and other key stakeholders
  • Have a root cause analysis approach to problem solving for inventory and replenishment settings
  • Review orders to meet forecasted and actual demands
  • Ensure optimising of orders and delivery options with efficient lead times and costs
  • Development, review and implementation of processes and procedures
  • Report weekly on inbound VOR’s and air freight shipment timings to key stakeholders, highlighting potential delays and actions taken to expedite
  • Review weekly the ‘Inventory Heads Up’ report, which covers identified at risk products, un-forecasted demand increases, slow and obsolete products. Sharing summary with key stakeholders
  • Reports to be supplied for inventory, operations, KPI’s, dashboards, demand reviews and more

We are ideally looking for:

  • People management experience
  • Experience as a Manager in Supply Chain with working knowledge of S&OP processes, demand planning systems, inventory management principles, and master data management
  • Strong down-to-earth communicator
  • Able to understand the needs of your internal customer who will be the likes of Service Manager’s under pressure to deliver repairs to machines on our client’s sites
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and procurement software, advanced in the MS Suite
  • Be based in Christchurch
